My search feature in WAC has also been busted since the update in December. WAC has nothing like this at all except a new preview dashboard that only shows CPU/Mem/Disk use for hosts. And also can run BPA scans and highlight issues across your entire fleet. It has a lot of great things like showing you services that are stopped but set to "automatic" and probably need investigation. Doing the same in WAC will easily take several minutes just to connect to them and browse their VMs.Įven "Server Manager" is far more useful.
If I want to do Hyper-V management, it's far faster to open the tool and have all my hosts added and just click through them.
Every single page requires multiple WinRM requests to the endpoint, there is no caching to go "back" without a full reload of that page, and the equivalent RSAT tool always loads 10x faster. On paper, it seems pretty great, and I've spent considerable time adding 100 servers to a shared list and tagging as appropriate.īut damn it's slow to use.
